Thomas Goodwin

Tommy Goodwin is a Senior Attorney at Homan, Stone & Rossi, focusing on insurance defense litigation, including personal injury and tort claims.

Born and raised in the Bay Area, Mr. Goodwin attended San Jose State University, where he graduated with a B.A. in Economics, and Santa Clara University School of Law, where he earned his Juris Doctorate. While in law school, Mr. Goodwin sat on the board of the La Raza Law Student Association and was an active member in the International Human Rights Clinic, where he helped draft a CEDAW ordinance for the County of Santa Clara and a campaign strategy for Resolution 18119, allowing the City of Mountain View to adopt the U.N. Universal Declaration of Human Rights. Mr. Goodwin also externed for the U.N. High Commissioner for Refugees in San Jose, Costa Rica, updating briefs and memoranda on refugee protection in the context of mixed migratory movements in the Latin America.

Prior to joining the firm, Mr. Goodwin served as a trial attorney for a national insurance carrier, litigating several hundreds of personal injury files from start to finish. Outside of the law, Mr. Goodwin enjoys spending time with his family and restoring classic trucks.
