Michele Spencer

Michele Spencer brings 35 years of defense litigation experience to the General Liability Department of Homan, Stone & Rossi. Ms. Spencer’s work defending insured individuals and businesses encompasses premises liability, automobile, trucking, bicycle and motorcycle accident matters, from inception, initial case analysis, and litigation planning through trial, mediation, and appeal. She has tried cases in Los Angeles, Orange and San Diego Counties. She is well respected for her research and writing, as well as her work in depositions and law and motion practice. She honed her skills in associate positions at other firms, including working as in house counsel to a major carrier. She brings not only a wealth of legal knowledge, but also an approach to client interaction dedicated to explaining the process of litigation and engaging in regular client communication about case status and developments. She is experienced in uninsured/underinsured motorist first party claims, fraud/SIU investigations, and examinations under oath of insureds and witnesses for insurance carriers. She is looked up to as a mentor to younger attorneys launching their litigation careers. In addition to her litigation work, Ms. Spencer’s background as a car and racing enthusiast serves to enhance development of defense strategies due to her working knowledge of vehicle technology.
