Jennifer Pyka

Jennifer A. Pyka is an Associate Attorney in the Workers’ Compensation department at Homan, Stone & Rossi.

Ms. Pyka attended California State University, Northridge, where she earned a Bachelor’s degree in Deaf Studies with a concentration in Community Service, and a Bachelor’s degree in Sociology with a concentration in Social Welfare and Social Justice. She then received her Juris Doctor from Western State College of Law. 

During her law school career, Ms. Pyka received the Witkin Award in Legal Writing & Research II and was invited to join the Honors Moot Court, later becoming President. Along with her partner, Ms. Pyka was a quarterfinalist and was awarded the Best Appellate Brief Award at the 2017 Asylum & Refugee Law Moot Court Competition at UC Davis. She was also a quarterfinalist at the 2018 Schreck Gaming Law Moot Court Competition at UNLV. During her final year of law school, Ms. Pyka was also a member of the Ninth Circuit Project through her law school Immigration Clinic. She was part of a team that submitted Appellate Briefs and Oral Arguments to the Ninth Circuit on behalf of their client. She was also an editor for the Orange County Lawyer magazine. 

Prior to joining Homan, Stone & Rossi, Ms. Pyka worked as an associate attorney at a Southern California workers’ compensation defense firm, handling all aspects of Workers’ Compensation defense. 

In her spare time, Ms. Pyka enjoys going to the movies, traveling, photography, and working on art projects as gifts for her friends and family.
