Anita Martinez has over 14 years of legal/paralegal experience. Prior to joining Homan, Stone & Rossi, Ms. Martinez worked for law firms that specialized in Workers’ Compensation, Insurance Defense, Landlord Tenant, Product Liability, Employment Law, Construction Defect, Criminal Defense, Personal Injury and Lemon Law that practiced in the state courts of California, Arizona, New Mexico, and the United States Federal District Courts. She is well-versed in handling case matters from inception through settlement or trial. Ms. Martinez is also Spanish speaking.
Ms. Martinez earned her Associate of Arts in English with a concentration in Latino Literature and Associate of Science in Mathematics with a concentration in Statistics degrees at Riverside City College and her Bachelor’s degree in English with a concentration in American Literature/American Studies at the University of California Riverside. Ms. Martinez also holds an ABA-approved paralegal certificate from Phoenix City College in Phoenix, Arizona.
Prior to her legal career, Ms. Martinez worked in the library industry for over 20 years. She managed public small branch libraries in both California and Arizona, and assisted in the development and expansion of the Maricopa County library system in Arizona. A self-described voracious reader and life-long learner, Ms. Martinez looks forward to obtaining her Master’s degree in Legal Studies.
In her spare time, Ms. Martinez enjoys visiting her grandchildren, sewing and crocheting, gardening, hiking, and reading classical literature.
